Scott's experience with the Internal Revenue Service provides clients with an invaluable perspective and resource.

Scott served as a District Counsel Attorney and Senior Attorney for the Internal Revenue Service where he litigated complex tax matters before the U.S. Tax Court, in cases ranging from those involving individuals, estates and trusts to small businesses and Fortune 100 corporations. In addition to developing significant civil tax litigation experience, Scott provided the Internal Revenue Service advice on both civil and criminal matters. He is recognized among the "Best Lawyers in America" in Tax Law, and provides guidance and advocates on all aspects of individual and corporate taxation, including estate and tax planning, civil and criminal tax controversy, audit representation, litigation and appeals, internal investigations, and white collar criminal defense.

Scott has also handled numerous complicated forfeiture cases ranging from U.S. currency to hundreds of pounds of wild American ginseng, to a 53-carat internally flawless yellow diamond.
